Kutoa: what is it?

Kulinda: Look out there...

Kutoa: It's a rogue! -tenses up-

Kulinda: Calm down, he might not be here for bad intentions. He looks really curious.

Kutoa: But why would he? Is it the peaceful monarchy? I thought most prides from older times had been extinguished since Grandpa's rule.

Kulinda: You'd be surprised. There are groups across the desert that still go by rules from years ago.

Kutoa: -looks shocked- You mean like killing the previous leader's Cubs!?!

Kulinda: Mhm..

Kutoa: And all the females belonging to the leader without a choice!?

Kulinda: Yep

Kutoa: That's horrible!!!

Kulinda: I know, but it's the truth, and...at least it's not all around. Some females escape as refugees and are taken in by kinder prides.

Kutoa: How do you know about all this?

Kulinda: Well, why do you think I've been hanging around Zazu a lot. I'm taking his place as advisor when Pum becomes queen. One of the requirements is to know the full history of the Pride Lands and surrounding areas. 

Kutoa: Oh, well I guess that makes sense-

Kulinda: Wait, Toa. Look out there..

Kutoa: He's getting closer.

Kulinda: We better move out just in case. Don't be too rushed, we don't want to look panicked-

Pumoja: -SNARL-

Kutoa: Pum!?

Pumoja: Stay behind me guys, I'll take care of this.

Kulinda: Wait, Pumoja! You're not planning on attacking him are you?

Pumoja: It's my job as future queen.

Kutoa: But he's huge!! Shouldn't we get Uncle Kion, or Mom or Dad!?

Pumoja: I need to do this myself, Kutoa!!

Kulinda: Pum, please reconsider. You need to make the impression of a fair queen, instantly attacking him without a proper confrontation could jeopardize that! Don't do this for yourself, but for your future kingdom. Don't make yourself seem like a brute!

Pumoja: -hesitates, claws grazing the ground-

Kulinda: Don't throw away what you've learned...

Pumoja: -thinks hard, grumbling-...sigh...fine, lets go get Dad...

-all three start heading back to Pride Rock-

Kutoa: -whispers to Kulinda- Now I know why you're the advisor..

Pumoja: Oi! I heard that...

Yeah, that was long, but I wanted to show my Kovu and Kiara kids kinda grown. Thanks to Kutoa (as well as some leadership lessons from mom and dad), Pumoja stopped being a huge brat and actually made an effort to reconnect with her sister and began to grow as a future queen. As said, Kulinda is training to be her sister's adviser. Kutoa doesn't have much of an important part, but he doesn't really care, as long as his family has time for him. I realized not many people have teen lions who look gangly and awkward like proper teens so I did that to Kutoa. Instead of stretching from his head and over his back, his mane spilt behind his ears and dangled there like hippie hair for a while. He really hated it since others teased him for it, especially with that little bit on his chin. But don't worry Toa, it'll soon grow into a fabulous beard :3
